The restaurant and hospitality sector remain extremely competitive environments and will always be under pressure. That is why profit optimization is one of the most important keywords. Many entrepreneurs do understand it and are increasingly switching to ready-to-use basic sauces.

The ready-to-use sauces of The Smiling Cook are basic sauces and often used ‘as such’. They are also easy to refine or to combine.

Their special qualities deserve to be listed:

  1. always the same consistent quality.
  2. time-saving.
  3. no losses or surpluses due to a 1 kg pouch.
  4. no preservatives and yet a long shelf life between 12 and 24 months (depending on the sauce) at room temperature.
  5. once opened, the sauces remain perfect for another 3 days in the refrigerator.
  6. conditioned in special microwave-resistant doypacks, useful for quick heating in a microwave (combi steamer or boiling water are also possible).
  7. bain-marie resistant.
  8. extremely suitable for use in the cold line.
  9. reduction of packaging waste (empty doypack is allowed for PMC waste).

It is important to know that these sauces easily mix with fond, broth, fumet, cream, whole milk, cheese, fresh herbs, butter, olive oil, al dente vegetables, shrimps, bacon cubes, etc.). They suffer from some evaporation due to long heating in the bain-marie? No problem: just add some water, milk or cream.

The fact that these sauces attach great importance to convenience and can be personalized, combined or mixed opens indeed quite some perspectives for the kitchen.
